Pilot

A Pilot connection for Salesforce relationship context.

Use a Salesforce Pilot to assess whether agreed client and relationship context improves matter-led commercial conversations.

Pilot status: This page describes MatterLayer's evaluation scope. It does not mean Salesforce endorses MatterLayer, and it does not imply a vendor partnership.

Pilot brief

A bounded operating scope

01

Buyer problem: matter and relationship views drift apart

A CRM can hold valuable client context while the legal team works from matter systems and direct knowledge. A Salesforce Pilot asks whether selected relationship signals can support a matter-led commercial review without assuming that a CRM record is complete or authorising automated client contact.

02

Pilot operating pattern

Define one relationship question, the included client or matter cohort and the approved Salesforce context. MatterLayer can present a cue to an authorised relationship owner, who checks the current circumstances and decides whether a conversation, record correction or no action is appropriate.

03

Boundaries and limitations

No Salesforce API scope, write-back or data completeness is promised. The firm must validate fields, permissions, consent and record ownership. Relationship data may be stale or sensitive, and Salesforce is not represented as a MatterLayer partner or endorser.

04

Implementation discussion

Map the Pilot to the firm’s definitions for accounts, contacts, opportunities and matter relationships. Test duplicates, shared clients and restricted work. Require human ownership for outreach, agree how conflicts or sensitivities are checked and define who can alter the purpose-specific mapping.

05

Measured Pilot outcome

Assess whether relationship owners reach relevant matter context with less reconciliation and prioritise follow-up more clearly. Track duplicate, stale and irrelevant cues. The Pilot does not prove new business, client satisfaction or revenue impact merely because a commercial conversation was suggested.

Intended data scope

Selected account, contact, opportunity and relationship context tied to the documented Pilot use case and authorised scope.

Workflows to evaluate

  • Client relationship review
  • Matter-to-commercial context
  • Follow-up prioritisation

Controls to agree

  • Purpose-specific mapping
  • Access control review
  • Human ownership of outreach
