Pilot

A Pilot connection for Aderant business intelligence.

Use an Aderant Pilot to determine whether agreed matter and commercial signals improve focused review.

Pilot status: This page describes MatterLayer's evaluation scope. It does not mean Aderant endorses MatterLayer, and it does not imply a vendor partnership.

Pilot brief

A bounded operating scope

01

Buyer problem: commercial attention is hard to prioritise

Time, billing and matter signals can create long review lists without showing which situations deserve a conversation first. An Aderant Pilot asks whether selected context can help authorised teams prioritise investigation while recognising that fee arrangements, timing and matter circumstances often explain apparent anomalies.

02

Pilot operating pattern

Choose one billing or matter-health question and define the records needed to examine it. MatterLayer can assemble an Aderant-informed prompt for finance, partners or operations to review. The reviewer then checks authoritative context and chooses whether to follow up, correct or dismiss it.

03

Boundaries and limitations

The page does not specify an Aderant API, guarantee source completeness or imply permission to change records. Connection details must be validated for the firm. Commercial indicators require human interpretation, and naming Aderant describes Pilot scope only, not endorsement or partnership.

04

Implementation discussion

Agree data minimisation, role access, definitions, refresh expectations and Pilot retention before live use. Test unusual fee arrangements, timing differences and incomplete records. Define how users challenge a prompt and how the firm exits the Pilot or removes the scoped data if value is not established.

05

Measured Pilot outcome

Evaluate whether reviewers spend less effort assembling context and whether follow-up is prioritised and owned more clearly. Include rejected and corrected prompts in the evidence. The Pilot cannot by itself prove improved billing, profitability, matter health or any customer outcome.

Intended data scope

Selected matter, time, billing-status and workflow context within the documented Pilot boundary and authorised access.

Workflows to evaluate

  • Billing attention review
  • Matter health investigation
  • Operational prioritisation

Controls to agree

  • Data minimisation
  • Role-based review
  • Pilot exit and retention review
